2011 The Start of a New Pot Design.

At last I am in my studio with a "sunny design " in mind. "SUNFLOWERS. I have just the pot. Lovely large flat face on it.
Firstly I design in pencil . The Pot has been fired which is called "biscuit" so it is nice & hard for drawing on. I will post 6 pictures on for you to see how it gradually builds up , then when I have finished & it goes in for the 2nd fireing you will see a remarkable change.
Once I have drawn the design ,I then start to fill in with the glazes ,there will be three coats altogether. The glazes have a vegetable dye in them so the true colours only come out when they reach 1020 in the kiln .
